The first and most important step in becoming a Real Estate Agent is to get started and make the decision. Procrastination is a dream killer! Sign up for your 60 hrs of continuing education, either online or in the classroom. You can sign up for Coldwell Banker Real Estate School online for around $200 bucks and it includes the national and state Real Estate Text books you'll need to use for studying and to ultimately pass the course. I personally suggest taking the course in the class room but if you are self motivated and able to stay focused by all means take the class online. Here in Maryland you need 60 Hours of Continuing education, be at least 18 years old, pass the class midterm and final exam which will make you eligible to take the real test, pass the PSI Exam and then affiliate with a brokerage. Once you've interviewed and affiliated with the brokerage of your choice, hopefully its Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage if not  make sure you affiliate your license to practice Real Estate with a Brokerage that has an amazing culture, support staff, and all the tools and systems in place for you success. See a office thats growth minded so that you get off to a great start in your Real Estate Career.
